Previously, Romola Garai
headed the cast of Tim Fywell's I Capture the Castle (from the
Dodie Smith book) and was a member of the ensemble cast of Douglas
McGrath's Nicholas Nickleby (from the Charles Dickens book).
Tom Hooper's BBC miniseries Daniel Deronda (from the George
Eliot book), in which Romola Garai had the female lead role,
recently aired in the U.S. on PBS' Masterpiece Theatre. Ms.
Romola Garai's other U.K. television credits include the series
Attachments and John Strickland's miniseries Perfect.
Romola Garai's other film credits include Gillies
Mackinnon's HBO feature The Last of the Blonde Bombshells (in
which she played the younger incarnation of Dame Judi Dench's
character) and Guy Ferland's Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights. Romola
Garai recently starred on the London stage as James Joyce's
daughter Lucia in Calico, Michael Hastings' play directed by
Edward Hall.
